背景：
Brain-derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is a key neurotrophic factor involved in the development, survival, and function of neurons, affecting synaptic plasticity and efficiency in the central nervous system. Structurally, the BDNF gene on chromosome 11 consists of 11 exons and multiple promoters, with exon IV regulating activity-dependent expression. BDNF is synthesized as pre-pro-BDNF in the endoplasmic reticulum, which is processed into pro-BDNF and then into mature BDNF. BDNF binds to the TrkB receptor, activating downstream signaling pathways such as MAPK, PLC-γ, and PI3K, which are crucial for neural plasticity and synaptic development.
