背景：
Cytokeratins (CK or keratins) are a group of intermediate filament proteins found in epithelial cells. According to conventional classification, they are divided into type I (CK9-20) and type II (CK1-8) proteins. These proteins play a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial cells and also regulate various cellular processes, including growth, proliferation, migration, apoptosis, and immunity. CK7 is an intermediate filament protein with a molecular weight of 54 kDa, detected by immunohistochemical staining and positively expressed in the cell cytoplasm. It is widely expressed in many normal epithelial tissues such as breast and lung tissues, and its expression pattern can help distinguish benign from malignant epithelial tumors. In addition, CK7 serves as a specific marker for biliary epithelial cells, aiding in the diagnosis of cancers such as intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma.
